About Me

I'm a Computer Science student at Oregon State University, a math minor, software builder, lacrosse player, gym enthusiast, and a lover of the outdoors.

My interest in computer science started with two things: video games and math. Growing up, I spent countless hours playing games and tinkering with mechanics to figure out how they worked. At the same time, math was easily my favorite subject. Computer science ended up being the perfect mix of both, combining the creativity of building things and the logic of solving problems.

This summer I'm spending most of my time developing personal projects, keeping up with the rapidly changing world of tech, and working as a waiter.

Outside of tech, college football is my biggest hobby. I grew up playing football, which sparked an appreciation for the strategy, traditions, rivalries, and endless statistics that make the sport what it is. Watching Oregon State beat SDSU in San Diego is still one of my favorite memories.

As for video games, two of my favorites are osu! and UNDERTALE. osu! is all about chasing improvement and pushing mechanical skill, while the characters of UNDERTALE have always just had a special place in my heart. They're completely different games, but both left a lasting impression on me.

Professionally, I'm interested in software engineering, systems, AI, and building things people actually use. I like taking ideas from "this would be cool" or "I wish there was an app for that" and turning them into working software.

I recently served as Vice President of Oregon State's Men's Lacrosse team, which was one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience. Between managing responsibilities, helping organize travel, and working with the other officers, I learned a lot and had a great time. Lacrosse has had a huge impact on my life, the people I've met and the experiences I've had because of it are things I'll always be grateful for.
